This one-of-a-kind jar is hand-thrown on the wheel and finished with a Japanese-inspired glaze known as Nuka. For this particular glaze, we have used ash from a wood pellet boiler, giving the surface its distinctive character.
The thick, silky matte glaze displays subtle, characteristic crawling, revealing glimpses of the warm, toasty clay beneath. Heavy and generously rounded, the jar has a strong, bulky presence while still radiating a quiet softness. It can be used for flower arrangements or appreciated purely as a sculptural object.
The jar is handmade in Nexø on Bornholm and has our logo and year stamped on the base. The jar is watertight.
