Tea bowl 'Flowers and birds'
This teabowl was thrown on the potter’s wheel. It’s made from stoneware with crushed local sandstone from Nexø, which gives it a gritty texture.
The bowl is glazed with a white shino on the outside and a yellow ash glaze inside. Over the shino I brushed copper glaze. It was fired in a wood kiln, where the fire and ash left unique marks that can’t be repeated. The shape is a bit irregular—just as it came off the wheel. A little heavy.
Diameter: 12 cm
Height: 9,4 cm
Weight: 485 g
All of our tea bowls are handmade, so each piece has its own unevenness, imperfections, and unique character. Colors may vary slightly from what you see in the photos. We’ve tried to show the glazes, textures, and feel of each bowl as best we could, but if you’re unsure about something or need more details, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
